So here’s the final of this guy:
The background I’m less than happy with—I need to get used to doing them, really. Also, you people didn’t tell me last time that he was missing a sleeve… Get on the ball, guys!

No update last week since I was at Anthrocon. But, while I was out there, I spent a lot of time working on this guy:
I might start colorin’ him from here.
That rod-like thing floatin’ in the upper corner came from someone scribbling (in pen!) in my precious sketchbook. Why people do things like that, I’m not sure. We shall do DNA tests, and then club the perpetrators and eat their bones.
Finished this one, too.
This is Magni, or Mack as he’s called, and he’s a rami. Usually rami are blue or gray in color, so he’s somewhat atypical… It’s possible he’s only half-rami, but I don’t actually know, because I don’t think I’ve ever seen his father.
He was born in 479 AM and grew up in Dunamy Town with Maxim and Huck. He collects feathers, and I’m not entirely sure why.
More things to go on the Nother timeline, if I ever get around to putting that together. I realized I need to start writing more about Nother and the other worlds I have, so this week I added putting down information for Frathwiki to my to-do list. Likewise with putting down detailed information about my characters…
Sorry for the delay in posting. Had a week or so where I didn’t have anything to post, and fell out of the habit. (It’s that easy!)
Anyway, I finished the picture of Taaq Ulluriittuq:
I think it came out about right, even though it’s ridiculously permeated by my style.
The description I posted elsewhere with this pic:
á‘–á–… á…ᓪᓗᕇᑦá‘á–… (Taaq Ulluriittuq) out on an iceberg, watching the starless dark.
He usually goes by ‘Starless’ since his given name tends to give others trouble. He lives in Nother in the 28th century, and is the last one of his kind on record. They offered to revive icebearkind by cloning from him, but he didn’t see the point to it—”other folk live just as well as we did”. He moved to a frontier planet and spends most of his nights out on the sea, watching the empty sky.
I suppose that’s not a natural iceberg. It’s probably motorized.
I know it’d be an interesting frontier that would not have a view of any stars… There’s probably some kind of physical barrier to letting the light through, like the dust cloud around Krikkit.
I tried doing a background on this. It just didn’t work out. I tried a couple, actually. But they were all grafted-on kind of things. When I start doing new stuff from here on out I’m going to try and remember to keep backgrounds in mind. Don’t you all forget to remind me.
All right, this is probably the final pencil work on this guy I’ll be doing.
I know 75% of his limbs look out of kilter. But I’ve also been working on them since August, so I probably won’t be able to get them much more right offhand at this level. But maybe I’ll get some cleanup done during accoloration.

Woot! Finished coloring this page… so now I’m done with the color backlog on Myces stuff, more or less, and can focus on coloring the last page and drawing the next.
NSFW (weird) behind cut…»
When I posted this to FA I still wasn’t entirely happy with it. Nevertheless, it’s turning out to be one of my more popular non-adult pieces.
So, this is the first draft of linework… not satisfied with it yet, though, want to make it better. At the very least: I’m not sure his body looks like he’s quite resting on his weight; I’m not sure his head is interacting with the pillow properly; I don’t think his head looks properly otterly.
Other suggestions would be great, before I start taking shading to it.
