Swampstomper.

Finally finished this guy up. Here’s the “official” shot (desperately grainy; I hate my camera):

And some more:

This week started working onna belt. Not sure how well that’ll come out, but this is what we’re workin’ with so far:

Loops’re a bit thick, I’ll hafta fix that.

So I started adding a hand to him.   At the moment it’s kind of rough because I didn’t want it just to be hanging there; I figured it should be doing something.  (I know, I said that last time.) But I haven’t decided what yet.

WIP – Koopa.

So this week I worked a bit on texture. It doesn’t come out too well—the hair needs a good reshaping, and the eyebrows… the eyebrows… require serious help—but… one day at a time.

WIP – Gator.

It’s another adorable character belonging to someone else.  This week I put an arm on him.

2009-09-01-gatorNo hand yet, I know.  It’s not a very good arm, either; it definitely could do with some form (and action! it should be doing something!).  But I’m taking pics anyway since most of you haven’t seen anything on this guy yet.

2009-09-01-gator-detail In that light he looks a little too mooby.  I’m going to have to do something about that too.

WIP – Koopa

What did I work on for this guy this week?  Teeny-tiny little ankle band spikes.

2009-09-01-victor Well, I say teeny-tiny little ankle band spikes.  This fellah is eight inches tall and 1:12 scale, so we’re looking at what ought to be three-inch spikes.  But in actuality: teeny-tiny little ankle band spikes.

WIP – Koopa.

I thought I’d post some of the stuff I’m working on. Putting up a static WIP feels like a bad idea to me (too much temptation to say ‘good enough’ and move on) so here’s a video of me at work.

This is a sculpture of a Koopa I’m working on for a friend. I worked on it for about half an hour last night; recorded about half of it, and sped it up to save you time. Sorry about the angle; I’m going to have to find a better place to put my camera.

I think I’ll be posting more like this.
